La vergüenza is an affecting family drama that centres around Manu, a young boy with severe behavioural problems whose foster parents are wrestling with the choice of adopting the youngster or returning him to state care as many families before them have done. Only their Peruvian housekeeper has managed to form an emotional bond with Manu, but her motives for the attention are questionable.

La Vergüenza has won the Golden Biznaga best film 2009 at Malaga Spanish Film Festival.
