Seventeen bodies wash up along the shore of the Spanish port Algerciras. When funeral director Martin is called to the all-too-familiar scene he finds a note with a phone number attached to one of the bodies. The number belongs to Leila who convinces Martin to set out on an unusual road trip to take her brother’s body back to Hansala, Morocco. Crime, government opposition and personal crises are all encountered along the way.
